Carved in the light grey colour of steatite stone (commonly called soapstone)this sculpture is massive but finely polished with engraved details.It shows the polar bear holding his seal cub prey with pride.It is a carving by Jobie Arnaituk from the community of Kangiqsujuaq,Nunavik.
