CRIBBAGE BOARD SHAPED LIKE A PAIR OF SNOW GOGGLES
Carved in a big whalebone by the Inuk artist Saila Kelly,this cribbage board is looking like a pair of snow goggles,the glasses (or goggles)the Inuit would wear to prevent themselves from snow blindness.It is functional and is a masterpiece of precision considering the material to do this carving.It is made in Nunavut,on Baffin Island,in the community of Pangnirtung.
