FOLDED WINGS TAMARACK DECOY
This elegant bird with a very fancy design is now used as a decoration to commemorate the Cree tradition of tamarack decoys they used to make to attract Canada Geese in their spring and fall migrations. It is beautifully webbed only in tamarack branches and it's fragrance immerses you in James Bay taïga (Forest zone between boreal forest and arctic tundra).
This bird has been made by an artist from the Cree First Nation of Waskaganish.
The decoys with folded wings are not anymore on a wood stand.
