HEART BALEEN PENDANT
Inuit have developed all their ingeniosity in their perpetual quest for survival in the arctic tundra.They have found different uses of all the parts of animals,fish or birds in their daily life.
In this special piece of jewelry,it's fossilized whalebone or baleen that was carved in a heart shape by the artist Sandy Maniapik,from Pangnirtung,Baffin Island,Nunavut.The chain is sterling silver.
